The Chillicothe Art League is an area arts organization with a mission to foster and promote interest in the visual arts for its members and the community.
The local art league has supported the Earth Gathering festival with donations and volunteers since 2000. In 2008 the Chillicothe Art League became the official host and sponsor of the event.

Stop inside the gallery during the festival April 21, 2012 and check out the 14th-annual Chillicothe Art League Spring Open Exhibition.

While at the festival, consider purchasing a historical coloring book created by league members. The 24-page, tea-out-sheet coloring book includes illustrations of artifacts, architecture, symbols, and people of Ross County. Each book is a creative, educational, community-made work of art which supports funding for scholarships awarded annually to deserving Ross County students seeking a degree in fine art
or art education.(for more details, scroll to bottom of page)

IN 2011, due to lack of applicants, the Chillicothe Art League awarded only one scholarships to a Ross County student furthering her education in the arts.

Brianne Bowers, of Chillicothe, will receive a $1000 scholarship from CAL. Brianne is a 2008 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She is starting her third year at Parsons (The New School for Design) in New York City seeking a BFA degree in Illustration. This is Brianne's final scholarship from the league.
